Opening Blog
The past week at Mississippi College I was extremely busy. The mission statement specificly say that the school will stimulate their students intelluctually, and it definitely did that. Just this past week i was had a math test on thursday and a biology test on friday. Also throughout the week i had alot of homework and many writing assignments. The biology test covered five chapter and that was very overwelhming. I spent many hours in the library studing. All in all i probably studied more for that one biology test than i ever studied in high school. The math test was not nearly as hard as the biology test but still it required alot of study time. I was also stimualted intellectually in my biology lab. The lab is three hours long and we do alot of experiments that i have no clue why we do them. After about three hours of experiments we have to remember what they all did and take a quiz on that material. The class is very overwhelming. Althought i am very busy in this english class writing papers, i would much rather have to write a paper than have spend many hours studing books. Mississippi College definitely fulfills its mission statement about stimulating its students intellectually. Even though there is alot of information to study i am also learning alot of really neat stuff. Althought it may seem overwhellming right now i am sure that it will get better in the future when i get the hang of it.

dude that sucks about the test and hopefully the next ones wont be so bad
I agree that M.C. definitely stimulates its students intellectually. This past week, I had a test in Art, French (2 tests), World Civilization, and Algebra. They were okay because I studied well for all of them, but it's still a lot to keep up with, especially if you've also got homework and feel very overwhelmed. I've made a commitment to not let things get out-of-hand with all of my homework and studying though so maybe that will help me out.
yea man biology is hard freshman year because the school tries to root out the kids who arent sure what they want to do and are just taking the class
I agree with the crazy test schedules..I'm the same way when it comes to assignments..I'd much rather write a paper then sit for hours studying notes..
